Brenda Mann, Executive Director Cheryl Hughes, President OUR 2007-09 THEME PASSAGE "Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago" (Ephesians 2:9-10, NLT).

We are the women of Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec churches, about 390 congregations from Kenora to Quebec City. As an organization, we exist to build up women to be strong in their faith, use their gifts to encourage one another, grow in leadership, and reach out in mission and ministry within our churches, communities, and world. Under the leadership of president Cheryl Hughes and executive director Brenda Mann, we are governed by a board of 10 dedicated, enthusiastic women from across our constituency, and represented by a Woman's Ministry Link in each BCOQ Association. We support four staff and two Canadian missionaries (2006 photo above). As individuals and groups, we are the women in your BCOQ church who:
Many of us meet in traditional women's groups, such as mission circles and women's fellowships. Others attend BIble study groups and coffee hours. Some of us are involved in women's retreats and special events, such as the Toronto Chinese Baptist women's retreat and the new emerge events for younger women. Some of us are too busy with family, church, and jobs to attend any meetings--but we still want to keep in touch. We give generously. In 2006 our groups contributed $452,864 to Baptist Women of Ontario and Quebec for mission in Canada and around the world. With the additional revenue from legacies, investments, and other sources, we raised a total of $677,708 for mission and ministry in 2006. Comments or questions? Contact webweaver@baptistwomen.com.
