Thank you for sharing the information in this E-LINK with everyone in your church.

Brenda's Blessings

Easter Weekend . . . may each of us be blessed by the wonder of it all. As we all ponder His death and resurrection for us I know there are many in our sisterhood who are experiencing personal loss.

Death
On Monday,March 29, two people connected to us died: Stan Hibbins, husband of Win, who is The Link & Visitor Association Rep for the Georgian Bay Association,  and John Hyland, Meghan McIntosh's father. Meghan directs our Legacy for Ministry program. Please remember these women, and others who have a keen sense of loss this Easter season.

Life
In March I was privileged to brainstorm and share with numerous groups including Toronto Area women, our cottage users and women who came to the Toronto Kipling Ave. Baptist Women's breakfast.
Thank you for your time and inspiration. God has so much in store for us all.

The journeys in-between
Readers, this is our last call for our short-term mission to Atlantic Canada, May 25 - June 2. I have room for 2 more but must have your commitment by this coming Tuesday, April 6!

Our August short-term mission to teach ESL in the Czech Republic may soon be cancelled due to insufficient numbers. Please let me know if you want to be a part of that amazing experience.

This July, BWA Women's Department Leadership Conference happens in Hawaii.

BWA has extended the early bird booking deadline to April 15.

And speaking of bookings, a few spaces are left on our tour but if you cannot participate that way, here's another option: bookmarks!

We want women from around the word who attend the conference to take home a 100 per cent Canadian, handcrafted bookmark made . . . by you! We have a pattern and instructions ready for you. They're attached to this e-mail and available to download from our website.

Stops along the way
I look forward to being with you at The Great Event, June 11 at the CBOQ Assembly. Register through CBOQ.

Together may we blessed as we remember Jesus! Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
Brenda Mann

Executive Director, CBWOQ

43 readers have subscribed to the E-LINK via our website. We'd like all 400 plus E-Link subscribers to get the E-LINK by this route. All you have to do is visit our website - www.baptistwomen.com. Just go to the home page, scroll down the left sidebar and subscribe (follow the instructions). You don't need to have an account on our site to do this.

We don't want you to receive your E-LINK twice. When you've signed up, don't forget to let us know: e-mail bwoqelink@baptist.ca or bwoq@baptist.ca. We'll take your address off our "old" subscription list.

Help us be better stewards of our time and resources!

2.    Project of the Month - Union of French Baptist Churches
We are grateful that Ria Deneut's ministry of compassion in Quebec keeps our French sisters in Christ before us. In 2009, Baptist Women gave $5,000 to the Union to support its work.

3.    Baptist Women's Sunday - April 25
This is a Sunday to inform and inspire your church community: share about Baptist Women -- who we are and what we do; invite your listeners to visit our website and become registered users; set up a BW table; offer complimentary copies of The Link & Visitor; speak from our biennial theme "Embrace the Mystery" (Colossians 2:2-3).

Need help finding a speaker? Want some encouragement as your women's group plans this Sunday's service? Need a copy of our guidelines for planning and running a Baptist Women's Sunday? Phone or e-mail us. We' re here to help.

4.     Oasis Fundraiser - Saturday May 29
Walk, run, or play at this annual fundraiser for the Oasis Dufferin Community Centre in Toronto. For more information, contact Oasis at 416-536-3197.

5.     The Great Event - Friday June 11
Held during CBOQ's Assembly, "Celebrating Eights" is our Great Event's theme this year and you won't want to miss this well-paced, interactive time of relaxed fellowship, fun, food and business.

A soup and sandwich celebration lunch features the 75th anniversary of Canadian Baptist Women, with a special guest joining us. Both at lunch and in our business meeting, attendees will hear eight-minute updates from many of the ministry projects financially supported by Baptist Women.

Register through your CBOQ Assembly registration package and visit our website for updates.
