I'm going barefoot! God has knocked my socks right off with so many great things I was so privileged to be part of over the last month:
- meeting with Baptist women leaders from across North America at the North American Baptist Women's Union executive meeting,
- going to my local association (Trent Valley Association) spring event,
- being an active participant at World Mission Fest - an event planned and mounted by Bromley Baptist Church, Ottawa, and held at the church,
- speaking at First Baptist Church, Ottawa, on Sunday morning,
- sharing CBWOQ's vision with 30 pastors at the CBOQ New Pastor's Orientation,

February has been one of those crazy-wonderful months! God keeps inspiring and challenging me while giving me opportunities to connect with so many of you.
I am always privileged to represent you at events:
- Uxbridge Baptist's Heart for the Nations prayer and support event for our First Nation friends,
- a CBM visit to meet Rev. Dr. Julius Karanja (African Christian Church and Schools moderator) and Rev. Jeremiah Ngumo, two leaders of the African Christian Church and Schools,
- a women’s event at Centennial Park in Grimsby,

I am so blessed as I see God at work in the lives of His women, churches and communities. As the annual reports are coming in I recognize that the number of our traditional groups continue on the decline, but the new connections and outreach that are happening from the grassroots level is wonderful. Keep asking God where He wants you to join in!

"Rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel has come . . . " Yes, the time of waiting for the Christ Child has come and gone and a new year of His blessings await us! What will God have for us in 2013? I don't have a full answer but I do know He has a plan and will guide us as we move forward together.
Over December we celebrated Christmas with our staff and our partners here at CBOQ. Also I had two weeks of holiday time which was a precious gift to me.
Many of you have heard that Clarence Webb (husband of Nancy, my predecessor) passed away on December 11. Our prayers are with Nancy and their family.
