Earlier this week, 16 women, including me, gathered and shared our dreams and needs.
We desire relationship -- with God and with others; meaningful gatherings; being connected.
Some needs and dreams were more specific: how to be a single sister in Christ, mentoring, sharing and growing our faith through the arts, supporting women in mission, passing on the legacy. Within our churches, we women have a deep longing to be invited - to be included and valued for who we are, just as we are.
I was inspired and challenged. Women do mobilize women. And so I ask myself and you, "Who have I invited recently? Who have you welcomed lately?
"Jesus, open my eyes to see the opportunities right in front of me."
Sixteen women . . . waiting to come together again. You're invited! And will you pass along the invitation?
