750 women from around the world . . . all carrying CBWOQ bookmarks

Yes . . . those bookmarks from CBWOQ sisters help bring joy and celebration to countless hundreds in Hawaii at our BWA Women's Department Leadership Conference!  We hand them out as we greet each other and learn about life and ministry in other cultures. Esther Barnes placed one in each signed copy of her BWA WD history book that was launched today!

Thanks ladies for your labour of love in preparing these.

Hearing voices?

Whose voices? What are they saying? Who's listening?

Hearing the voices of those concerned about human trafficking includes hearing the voices of the abused, the abuser, those who influence the abused and the abusers and those involved in the fight against this suffering.

I’m encouraged when I hear that a local member of Parliament responds to the letters that were written by our women after they had had an evening discussion on human trafficking.

Questions?

Amazing how a question received can linger in my soul for a long time. Thoughtful, challenging, sensitive questions have led me to go deeper into myself and what God might be saying to me.

Someone told me kids and the elderly are the most honest . . . and when I think about it, they are inquisitive and upfront with what they are thinking and therefore asking.

“Lord help me to hear the questions I need to hear and give me discernment to ask the questions that need to be asked . . . both of you and of others.”

Impact

This past weekend, two memorial services were held for two young people, Dana and Dennis. Dana and Dennis impacted hundreds of others from all walks of life.

"God, your value of life is beyond human comprehension and the myriad of ways you allow people to impact others grabs my attention. Father, help me to live in such a way that allows others to find you in the cracks of my daily living."

What can I do today that will twig a thought of God in another’s life?

How has God touched your life today?
