March 2010
Palm Sunday.
I love the joyful and triumphant hymns, children of all ages waving palm branches, parading and singing while going up and down and around our church aisles. I love the newness of life - pussy willows; lilies bursting forth; daffodils. I love the rugged cross with scarlet sash.
Earlier this week, 16 women, including me, gathered and shared our dreams and needs.
We desire relationship -- with God and with others; meaningful gatherings; being connected.
Sudoku
Sudoku and Baptist women have a lot in common. Every Sudoku game has multiple numbers 1 through 9. When they're put correctly in the grid, they always add up . . . the picture is complete.
Baptist women have many different connections, links and opportunities and when we are all in sync our picture is complete.
Inspiring!
Yes, I am talking about you. I’ve had some goose bumps lately!
I tingled when a "new" Baptist woman heard our history, our current opportunities and our vision for the future and enthusiastically said “Wow . . . I never would have known . . . we have to get the word out!” Women have such gifts of encouragement and vision.
