CBWOQ receives grant to fund Hope and Happiness, a 2011 short term mission to women and children on First Nations reserves in Ontario.
Hope and Happiness, a 2011 new short term mission project from CBWOQ, has received a grant from the North American Baptist Women's Union 2010 Day of Prayer offering.
Over eight days in 2011, an eight-woman team will lead a children's program and Groups of Hope, a small-group workshop prepared by CBM strategic associate Faith Holwyn that helps women journey to healing and hope.
The team will visit Ohsweken, Curve Lake and Oneida First Nations reserves.
"This grant will help us buy crafts supplies and snacks and train our team," says CBWOQ executive director Brenda Mann.
